Our Story
Modern automotive expertise, old-school service
Established in 1989 by Col Harrison, our workshop has looked after West Ryde families and businesses for more than 35 years, built on honest advice, quality workmanship and genuine care.
In 2025 the business entered a new chapter under owner Josh Hallinan, who grew Col’s Body Shop from a small local repairer into one of Sydney’s leading collision businesses. That same focus on systems, customer experience and doing the right thing now drives Col Harrison Automotive.
We do not see ourselves as just mechanics. We are trusted advisors. If a repair can wait, we will tell you. If something does not need doing, we will say so.

Yes. We service all makes and models, from everyday family cars and work utes to European vehicles and fleets. Our technicians and modern diagnostic equipment are kept up to date so we can work on new and older vehicles alike.
No. We carry out manufacturer logbook servicing using quality parts, which keeps your new-car warranty intact. You are not required to return to the dealer to maintain your warranty.
Yes. We are an authorised inspection station and carry out RMS pink slips (eSafety rego inspections) along with roadworthy checks and vehicle condition reports.
We are at the rear of 924 Victoria Road, West Ryde NSW 2114. Drive down the side and you will find our workshop at the back. We serve West Ryde, Ryde, Eastwood, Meadowbank and the surrounding suburbs.

Yes. We supply and fit lift kits, upgraded suspension and 4x4 accessories, matched to how you use your vehicle. Tell us what you are after and we will recommend the right setup.

We are open Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm and Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. Saturdays are by appointment only and we are closed Sundays.
