Established in 1989 by Col Harrison, our workshop has looked after West Ryde families and businesses for more than 35 years, built on honest advice, quality workmanship and genuine care.
In 2025 the business entered a new chapter under owner Josh Hallinan, who grew Col’s Body Shop from a small local repairer into one of Sydney’s leading collision businesses. That same focus on systems, customer experience and doing the right thing now drives Col Harrison Automotive.
We do not see ourselves as just mechanics. We are trusted advisors. If a repair can wait, we will tell you. If something does not need doing, we will say so.

It varies with your car and how you drive, but most pads last somewhere between 40,000 and 80,000 kilometres. We check pad thickness at every service so you get plenty of warning.
Squealing is often the wear indicator telling you the pads are getting low. It is best to have them checked promptly, before the rotors are damaged and the repair becomes more expensive.
